I'm in sore need of updating this site, but I've been a tad more distracted by being a mom than I'd thought. For one, I've started working in maille, and I need to get some of those photos up here. For another...umm.....
LOOK! AN ALBINO SQUIRREL!
Anyway. I went to Sogen Con this year with the intent of selling some maille work there. It was definitely a learning experience (lesson one: business and pleasure do not mix when working as a vendor. Sogen Con '09 will be for fun only) with its share of hassles: logistical problems, exhaustion, trying to mix fun and work which as mentioned did not work out at all...
But it had its share of good moments too. I was next to *thatreevesgirl for much of the convention, and she had a lot of helpful things to say. She recommended that I try the artist alley at Anime Detour. I went ahead and put in a request for a table and registered for the convention, adding on the table request form that if one wasn't open by February I wanted to cancel my registration. I'm only going to be there for business, after all.
Well, I got an email today from AD asking for payment for a table, so it looks like I'll be there!
